Madalyn’s go to Breakfasts for Fast Mornings

Hello you beautiful people! For this week's blog post, I really wanted to share some of my favorite recipes when I am in a rush in the morning. Breakfast is such an important meal, so I always prioritize that even when I am busy.

“Carrot Cake” Overnight Oats

This recipe I love because it truly tastes similar to that of a carrot cake, so when I want something a bit sweeter it is perfect for me. All you need is…

  • Rolled oats

  • Carrots (peeled)

  • Nutmeg & Cinnamon

  • Coconut

  • Maple Syrup

  • Milk or Milk Substitution (I like almond for this one)

Add 1 cup of oats to two cups of the Milk of your choosing. Combine spices (about 1 Tbs of each) and ½ cup of carrots. Add coconut and maple syrup based on desired sweetness. Close in a mason jar and put in the refrigerator overnight. In the morning, you can add raisins or walnuts or just open and enjoy!

Chia Seed Pudding

This recipe is great for added fiber and will fill you up in the morning! I really like this recipe as a good way to get some fruit in as well. You need…

  • Chia seeds

  • Milk or Milk Substitution (coconut is great)

  • Banana, Strawberries & Blueberries

  • Maple Syrup

  • Granola

  • Cinnamon

Add 6 Tbs of Chia Seeds to 2 cups of the Milk of your choosing. Stir the milk and chia seeds, waiting 5 minutes before stirring a second time. Add maple syrup and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, add your berries, granola and a dash of cinnamon and enjoy! I like adding some yummy almond butter toast on the side :)

Grab and Go Power Balls

This recipe for powerballs I have used and perfected to my favorite version. What is really cool about these is you can pick and choose what sounds good for you to put in the powerballs for that week! Here is my go to…

  • Rolled oats

  • Peanut or Sunflower butter

  • Craisens

  • Flax Seeds

Combine all ingredients and roll them up into mini balls, putting in a ziploc back. Place in the freezer and grab as many as you want for a quick, energizing breakfast!
